Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.1 Launches July 29 with New Agents, Xbox PC Support, and 2nd Anniversary Rewards

Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.1 arrives July 29 with new Agents, Xbox PC support, Operation Bagel, and free S-Rank anniversary rewards.

HoYoverse has announced that Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.1, "The Long Goodbye," will launch on July 29, bringing the next chapter of the urban fantasy action RPG alongside the game's second anniversary celebration. The update introduces new playable Agents, a permanent gameplay mode, major quality-of-life improvements, Xbox PC support, and a generous lineup of anniversary rewards.

A New Chapter Begins in "The Long Goodbye"

Version 3.1 continues the main story as the Proxies reunite with Truvia, the heiress of High Ambitions Corp., while representatives from New Eridu's major factions converge on the island. Players will also meet Lindverne Sunbringer, Administrative Director of the Airspace Patrol Department, alongside her deputy, Sigrid.

Meanwhile, Remielle Dan emerges from hiding as the mystery surrounding the powerful Enchainer begins to unfold, setting the stage for the next major story arc.

Remielle Dan and Sigrid Join the Roster

The update introduces two new S-Rank Agents.

Remielle Dan becomes Zenless Zone Zero's first Lumiflux Attribute Anomaly Agent. Her unique Attribute Flux mechanic allows her damage type to synchronize with the next Agent in the squad, making team composition highly flexible. She can also enter a Phase Flow state to provide continuous team buffs before unleashing powerful Assist Attacks, while the new Lumiflux-exclusive Refringe reaction converts Anomaly buildup into a devastating finishing explosion.

Unlike standard banners, Remielle's Signal Search will remain available throughout the entirety of Version 3.1.

Joining in the second half of the update is Sigrid, an S-Rank Ice Attack Agent specializing in her Aerial Patrol Spear Form. Successfully chaining her attacks increases her CRIT Rate and rewards players who maintain a smooth offensive rhythm.

Returning banners include Aria in the first half, while the Exclusive Rescreening banner allows players to choose between Dialyn, Ukinami Yuzuha, or Asaba Harumasa during the second half. A new S-Rank Bangboo, Ariel, also debuts in the update.

New Permanent Mode: Enigma of the Labyrinth

Version 3.1 introduces Enigma of the Labyrinth: Operation Bagel, a new permanent game mode centered around Eous being pulled deep into the Hollow after a special piece of equipment attracts a dangerous Ethereal.

Players will venture through procedurally structured stages, gather supplies, strengthen their characters, and escape before time runs out. Resources collected can be invested into upgrading a research station that provides long-term progression benefits.

The mode will receive seasonal updates and share weekly progression with Hollow Zero while offering exclusive seasonal rewards.

Summer Event and New Costumes

The limited-time event Summer Waves Roll In brings beach-themed activities featuring Lucy, Sigrid, and Remielle, including beachcombing and souvenir shop management.

Completing the event rewards players with Lucy's summer outfit, Princess on Holiday, for free.

Additional premium outfits arriving in Version 3.1 include:

Major Quality-of-Life Improvements

Version 3.1 introduces several new systems designed to streamline progression and character acquisition.

The new Custom Search feature allows players to pre-select six S-Rank Agents, ensuring any off-banner S-Rank obtained comes from that customized pool. Similar customization options will also be available for W-Engines and A-Rank rewards.

The Beginner's Guide replaces the existing Proxy Trial, offering improved progression guidance, recommended team compositions, upgrade suggestions, and Polychrome acquisition tips based on each player's Inter-Knot level.

Additional improvements include faster leveling between Inter-Knot Levels 20 and 50, improved W-Engine management through batch locking, and enhanced recommendation systems.

Second Anniversary Rewards

To celebrate Zenless Zone Zero's second anniversary, all players will receive one free limited S-Rank Agent of their choice from the following selection:

• Lucia

Players will also receive the selected Agent's exclusive W-Engine, along with Pyrois Mindscape rewards and upgrade materials.

Version 3.1 also includes:

• 1,600 Polychromes

• Additional anniversary login rewards and check-in events

Global Collaborations Return

The annual Operation Yum collaboration returns with Ellen and Manato leading this year's campaign.

In the United States, Zenless Zone Zero will partner with Japanese ramen chain Kyuramen, while players in Singapore can participate in a collaboration with Haidilao. Both promotions will feature themed menu items and exclusive merchandise.

HoYoverse also confirmed that Zenless Zone Zero-themed exhibitions showcasing concept art and animation materials will be held across multiple regions worldwide, with dates to be announced later.

Launching July 29 Across More Platforms

Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.1 launches on July 29 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud Gaming, PC, Steam, iOS, and Android.

The update also marks the official debut of the Xbox PC version, enabling cross-platform play within the Xbox ecosystem while offering enhanced Xbox Game Pass rewards for a limited time.
