Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.2 "Their Secret Histories" Launches September 9 With New Agents, Armorer Specialty, and Free Outfits

Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.2 arrives September 9 with new Agents Claret and Roxy, the Armorer Specialty, events, rewards, and free outfits.

HoYoverse is gearing up for another major update to Zenless Zone Zero, with Version 3.2 “Their Secret Histories” set to launch on September 9, 2026. The update introduces a brand-new Agent Specialty, two new S-Rank Agents, additional story content, limited-time events, and free faction outfits for Proxies.

Version 3.2 will also expand several of the game's existing systems while introducing new mechanics for its latest characters, giving players plenty of new content to explore when the update goes live.

Version 3.2 Introduces the Armorer Specialty

The biggest gameplay addition in Version 3.2 is the introduction of Armorer, a new Agent Specialty built around balancing offensive and defensive capabilities.

The new Specialty introduces the Maim and multi-CRIT mechanics, with its first representative being Claret, the S-Rank Electric Agent and head of Flint Workshop.

Claret can accumulate Gash on enemies through her attacks. Once enough Gash has been accumulated, it is applied to the target, allowing certain skills to trigger Maim for additional damage while also providing a Laceration DMG boost.

Unlike conventional damage scaling, all of Claret's skills use DEF as their base DMG multiplier. Her build also revolves around CRIT stats. When her CRIT Rate exceeds 100%, the excess is converted into multi-CRIT, which is calculated using Laceration DMG instead of standard CRIT DMG.

Claret's initial CRIT DMG can also be converted into CRIT Rate at a specific ratio, making DEF, CRIT Rate, and CRIT DMG important stats when building the new Agent.

The Armorer Specialty also introduces Counter Assist, allowing Armorer Agents to contest certain enemy Control Skills and push opponents back.

Claret and Roxy Join the Roster

Claret will make her debut during the first half of Version 3.2. As the head of Flint Workshop and an S-Rank Electric Armorer Agent, her combat kit focuses on building Gash, triggering Maim, and leveraging her defensive stats to deal damage.

The second half of the update will introduce Roxy, an S-Rank Wind Stun Agent and chief smith of Flint Workshop.

Roxy's core mechanic revolves around Eyes of the Storm. Holding her EX Special Attack creates a tornado on the battlefield and forms an Eye of the Storm. She can then gather and detonate Eyes of the Storm to create a much larger tornado.

Her Ultimate can generate multiple tornadoes that unleash a powerful area attack against enemies in front of her.

For returning Agents, the first and second halves of Version 3.2 will respectively feature the reruns of S-Rank Agents Nangong Yu and Promeia, alongside their Exclusive W-Engines.

The Story Continues in Vyrium

Version 3.2's main story, “Their Secret Histories,” takes Proxies and their companions to the Shrouded Reef's special zone of Vyrium, where they seek further treatment for the mutated power within their bodies.

The journey soon reveals that Roscaelifer, despite appearing virtually impenetrable, has already been quietly infiltrated by TOPS. At the same time, a shipment of Porcelloy from Flint Workshop disappears without a trace at a transfer station.

Claret and her assistant Roxy set out to investigate the missing shipment, eventually pulling the Proxies into the mystery.

The investigation leads to a covert research facility connected to Helios Academy, while Airspace Patrol Department Administrative Director Lindverne Sunbringer commissions Claret to investigate Porcelloy-related leads within the remnants of Girtablullu.

As the investigation unfolds, long-buried secrets involving an “old classmate” and an “old friend” begin to surface beneath the night sky of Vyrium.

Free Angels of Delusion Outfits

Version 3.2 will also kick off a series of events that allow players to obtain Angels of Delusion faction outfits for free.

Producer Zhenyu announced the outfit giveaway through a handwritten letter, with players able to acquire the rewards by participating in events across Versions 3.2 and 3.3.

The additional 14-day check-in event “Surprise Screening Plan” will allow players to select one Angels of Delusion outfit after completing the required check-in missions.

Meanwhile, “Clink, Clank, Pinball Knight!” lets Proxies team up with Kahkiboo to create an artistic pinball machine. Completing its Challenge Mode will unlock another Angels of Delusion outfit through the “Angels Support Operation” page.

Other events arriving during the update include the virtual pet-raising event “Diary of an Orbie Parent”, the Booastrum detective event “Chronicles of the Hobbling Crow”, and the HIA virtual combat event “Shadow Chase Showdown.”

These activities will offer rewards including Polychromes, Tuning Calibrators, and other in-game resources.

Enigma of the Labyrinth Gets a New Season

Enigma of the Labyrinth: Operation Bagel will also receive a new season update in Version 3.2.

The update is classified as a standard season update and will introduce new Z-Rank valuables and character Gear, advanced challenges, server-wide rankings, and refreshed season missions.

The in-game store will also add season-limited large-capacity inventory upgrades and Proxy accessories.

Claret and Roxy will join the system with new Tactical Prisms and Armorer Specialty General Gears. A new Break-Even Beacon item will also allow players to summon a Bangboo that carries away some supplies in advance. Even if an extraction attempt fails, those supplies will not be lost and will continue to count toward the current round's supplies tally.

HoYoverse also teased a larger themed season update currently in development. The upcoming update will feature new maps, systems, and high-difficulty challenges.

Exclusive Gears for Claret and Roxy will additionally be introduced to the Hollow Zero gameplay mode.

More Improvements Coming in Version 3.2

Several quality-of-life changes and system updates are also planned for the new version.

The Beginner Guide will now include Jane, Hugo, and Soldier 0 - Anby. Players who did not claim the Agent self-select perk during Version 3.1 will be able to select one of these Agents after updating to Version 3.2.

After completing the Phase 2 missions, players will also be able to select the corresponding Exclusive W-Engine.

Koleda will receive an enhancement, while the Perfect Assist trigger mechanism has been adjusted. Golden flashes will now consistently trigger Defensive Assist, while red flashes will consistently trigger Evasive Assist.

A new Armorer-exclusive VR Training stage is also being added to the VR Training Room. Meanwhile, a new W-Engine called Bloodmarrow Coffer will be added to City Fund Benefits and can be redeemed in future versions using the Great Builder's Certificate.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.2 Release Date

Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.2 “Their Secret Histories” will officially launch on September 9, 2026.

The update will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud Gaming, Xbox PC, PC, iOS, Android, and Steam.

With a new Agent Specialty, two new characters, a continuation of the game's story, free outfits, seasonal content, and a collection of system improvements, Version 3.2 is shaping up to be another substantial update for Zenless Zone Zero.
