ESGS 2016 – Fueling the Gamer’s Dreams

It wasn’t before long that we, gamers, have been able to enjoy a convention that brings together the games that we look forward to and we love to play. However, the eSports and Gaming Summit has just brought it to eleven, and they have even taken up a notch this year, bringing it to a massive scale for us to savor.

It’s All About the Games

ESGS has always been about the games, and this year’s event proves to bring it to the next level. PlayStation’s Booth brought forth and showcased the hotly anticipated Final Fantasy XV and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare for everyone to see, allowing those in the local scene hesitant to get a platform to play on but interested to get the games experience what they are all about. The crowd even livened up further with Just Dance 2017 stepping up the tempo all day long.

Gamers are even further treated by Bandai Namco with its line of hot, new titles – with everyone battling it out in Tekken 7 to experiencing the horrific-yet-cutesy survival title Little Nightmares to getting the first-hand experience of Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization.

Koji Igarashi took it to ESGS 2016 to show the country how fares Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night and allow everyone to play what it is thus far. Do take note, that’s the IGA, the main man himself, right there gracing ESGS 2016.

Capcom's Resident Evil 7 also got its chance to be demoed on ESGS 2016 grounds, which you can also try out if you want to see how the company wants to revive the franchise and scare the heck out of you.

The indie gaming scene in the country is also stepping it up a notch. Fresh titles developed by the folks from the PH are gearing it up, with the likes of Dreamlord Digital’s Graywalkers: Purgatory showcasing its gameplay, Senshi.Labs’ Adarna: Alamant ni Maria Blanca in full bloom, and so much more making its way to ESGS 2016.

For the Love of Hardware

ESGS 2016 didn’t only mean software, PC and gaming hardware manufacturers took it to the event to showcase their latest products as well. MSI gearing up the venue with loads of events from gaming competitions to virtual reality experiences, Zotac showcasing its lineup of GPUs and SFF PCs, and several brands including Thermaltake, HyperX, Razer, Power Color, and so forth brought forth their offerings for the gamers with sales topping off the charts in deals.

Toys, Toys, Toys

We love merch when we see it, and we shell out whatever we can in order to get them. Gundam model kits with that big, hulking SD RX-78-2 stood center for every Gunpla builders, and stores provided some awesome deals such as Funko Pops, action figures, and collectibles for everyone to snag.

The Hype is Real

ESGS is easily one of the biggest gaming events in Southeast Asia, and it lives up to the hype it promised. Gaming and eSports are taking full swing in the world today, and every one of us, as fans, get to experience it. Big props to the people who brought this event into reality! ESGS 2016 has definitely been a blast!
