Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.6 Launches September 28 With Pearl, New Events, and Razer Collaboration

Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.6 arrives September 28 with Pearl, new events, reruns, outfits, a Razer collaboration, and more.

HoYoverse has announced that Version 4.6 of Honkai: Star Rail, titled "Dance With the Beast Before Moonrise," will officially launch on September 28, 2026. Following the events of the previous story, Nihilux has revealed her true identity as Aha, the Aeon of Elation. The Trailblazer will now join forces with Nihilux and Pearl to investigate the Life Sciences Institute deep within Astropolis and uncover the truth behind a dangerous plan to "weaponize the husk."

The new update will introduce Pearl as a playable 5-star character, bring several new events and gameplay features to Planarcadia, and continue the game's expanding story. Version 4.6 will also feature character reruns, new outfits, a Razer hardware collaboration, and a preview of an upcoming Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero crossover.

Version 4.6 Takes the Trailblazer to the Life Sciences Institute

The Life Sciences Institute serves as the source of all imagenae in Astropolis and was built under the leadership of Madam Yabuli, head of the IPC's Technology Department. Yabuli is now pursuing a dangerous plan to "weaponize the husk," putting the lives of Planarcadia's residents at risk while allegedly maintaining connections to a mysterious faction that worships the Voracity in Astropolis.

To investigate the threat, Pearl plans to use the recovery of Leviathan Essence as a cover for Kuchiba and Ashveil to conduct a coordinated investigation deep inside the Life Sciences Institute. The Trailblazer and Nihilux will join the operation as they work to uncover and stop the conspiracy.

Pearl Joins the Playable Roster

Version 4.6 will introduce Pearl as a new 5-star Ice character following the Path of Elation. As the CEO of Planarcadia, Pearl is known for her computational power and rational decision-making. When the threat of the Voracity emerged, she arranged for Planarcadia's residents to evacuate aboard the Astral Express while remaining behind to oversee the encanvasing ritual.

Her story in Version 4.6 will see Pearl and the Trailblazer explore how "Preservation" and "Art" ultimately merge into a single theme. Pearl's approach to art also extends into her combat mechanics.

During battle, Pearl can consume her "Certified Banger" to offset a portion of damage dealt to all allied characters. She can also enter the "Deep Learning" state, allowing her to learn combat data from a designated teammate and gain a corresponding Enhanced ATK.

If the designated teammate follows the Path of Elation, Pearl's Enhanced ATK will deal additional Elation DMG to enemies. When the entire team consists of Elation characters, the designated teammate will also gain an extra turn while receiving a large amount of Punchline and "Certified Banger."

Character and Light Cone Reruns

Limited-time drop rates for the new 5-star character Pearl and the 5-star Light Cone "Colors for Tomorrow" will be boosted throughout Version 4.6.

The update will also bring back limited 5-star characters during its two phases. Evanescia will receive a rerun during the first half of the version, followed by Mortenax Blade in the second half.

New Events and Gameplay Features

Version 4.6 will introduce several new activities for Trailblazers to tackle. The new "Love, Ghosts & Robots" event puts the Trailblazer to work alongside the resurrected Skott as they operate a mechatron workshop. Players will assemble and sell mechatrons while working toward turning the workshop into a five-star project.

Meanwhile, "Interastral Peace Gala: One Take" will bring a large-scale combat reality show to the game. The update will also debut "Astral Imagea," a new gameplay feature that lets Trailblazers obtain multiple Astral Imageas to accompany them on their adventures.

Astral Imagea will also include a co-op component, allowing players to team up with friends for the "Astral Slammers Squad!" challenge.

New Outfits for Hyacine and Evanescia

Two new outfits will also arrive with the update. Hyacine's "Warm Cotton Skies" and Evanescia's "Lunar Blossoming" outfits will be featured together in the Outfit Show Window.
