We’re only a couple of days away until Persona 5 goes official, but we’re not discounting the fact that it has already hit a couple of toy stores in the local scene. April 4th is still the official date, but we take it some of you are already playing the game. As if also considering that fact, Atlus goes on a deadlock and blocks the share features of the PS4 for Persona 5.

Based on a report from Polygon, Atlus has confirmed that since Persona 5 is a story-based game, players will be prohibited from sharing content. “This being a Japanese title with solely a single-playthrough story means Japan is very wary about it,” said Atlus. “Sharing is currently blocked through the native PS4 UI.”

Well here’s the thing – Persona 5 is a single-playthrough. It’s very linear and it’s heavily story driven, that is if we’re also taking out the dating sim mechanics, because we’re all straightforward essentials kinda gamers.

Well, that really isn’t the problem. We’re all for a spoiler-free experience, and a game is better played than watched. On the other hand, there will of course be users with third-party recording devices, that’s why you’ve already seen plenty of Persona 5 videos up on YouTube.

As to when you’ll get the chance to show off your Persona 5 photos, don’t expect it to be available even after the game is released. But hey, Atlus is doing a service for everyone here, so it’s not really too much of an issue.
