The classics we’ve loved have been getting remasters and remakes, and we’ve had a healthy dose of them with a couple of announcements as of late. Now, it seems Blizzard is blitzing through remastering two of its beloved classics, Diablo II and Warcraft III, right after it does so with the granddaddy of eSports, Starcraft.

The news comes first as the eagle eyed folks from PCGamesN spots a Blizzard listing for a Senior Software Engineer.
“Compelling stories. Intense multiplayer. Endless replayability. Qualities that made StarCraft, Warcraft III, and Diablo II the titans of their day. Evolving operating systems, hardware, and online services have made them more difficult to be experienced by their loyal followers or reaching a new generation.

We’re restoring them to glory, and we need your engineering talents, your passion, and your ability to get tough jobs done,” the post on the listing says.

That’s probably enough indication, and an obvious one at that, that Blizzard is on a roll to remaster Warcraft III and Diablo II. The company did announce the remastered  version of Starcraft will be released summer of 2017, but it is indeed the first time we’ve heard of the two other games joining in the high definition party.
