Resident Evil 2 Remake Limited Edition Features a Typewriter

Capcom is pulling off another one of its super expensive limited edition runs for Resident Evil 2 Remake. For this time around, the product in question is a super expensive bundle that comes with a typewriter-inspired Bluetooth keyboard.

And as you’ve guessed it, this Limited Edition print will only be available in Japan. It’s a collaboration done together with Qwerkytoys and its Qwerkywriter S mechanical keyboard, which is modeled after the save mechanism for Resident Evil 2. Needless to say, it’s a fully functional Bluetooth mechanical keyboard. Our only source of info on the keyboard is the original Qwerkywriter S’s web page. Basically, you’ll be getting Cherry MX switches here, wired/wireless connection, and a battery life that can go up to 1 month of runtime.

How much will this set you back? Apparently, this Resident Evil 2 Remake Limited Edition bundle will cost around 82,800 yen, and that will include the keyboard itself, an ink ribbon, and a PS4 copy for the game. You could also jump in for the keyboard for only 75,000 yen. But hey, a quick Google Fu will show the keyboard’s and its original design for only $249.

Capcom previously did another expensive run with Resident Evil 6. It was a lame jacket. That's all that we can say about it, really.
